1st Stocksbridge Scouts -

Scouts are held on a Tuesday Night between 7pm and 9pm.

They are open to boys and girls between 10 and 14 years old.

Chinese Cooking

The Scouts practised their cooking skills making amongst other things, spring rolls with home made chilli sauce.

As part of the Creative Challenge badge, the scouts took part in a fashion show where they made clothing from waste plastic bags. Each patrol had to kit out their PL's and APL's in clothing. Then they had to parade down the catwalk.

As usual the scouts threw themselves into it with gusto.

Halloween @ Scouts

Scout night at the hut was turned into a graveyard as most of the scouts turned up in costume for some festive fun. Winner of the fancy dress was Alice and George. Great costumes and a great deal of thought put in.
Pumpkins were carved, mummification of patrol leaders took place.

Soap Box Derby 2011

A Great time was had by all at the Soap Box Derby. A very young team competed in the Soap Box Derby at Longley Park. All the scouts who came got a chance to race. Wet and windy though it was the scouts raced down the hill and pulled off some great victories.

The event was eventually won by the Bath Tub (very apt in the rain!) from the 33rd Chapeltown.
