Stocksbridge Scouts are based in Stocksbridge (no big surprise there then!). Stocksbridge is about 10 miles north west of Sheffield. Our group are known locally as the Firsts.

We are part of the Sheffield Don District and are known also as the 32nd Sheffield.

This years Beckford Peg Incident Hike is based around the Kimberworth area and will take place on Saturday 8th May.

The cost of attending is £2 (which includes a snack and drink at the end).

We're off to the Seaside

Put a note in your diaries, Sunday 16th May, as we're off on a double decker to Filey on this day. Yes, all the group Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Leaders are off for a day at the coast. Whilst we are there we'll be doing diffrent activities for each section and joining up for games on the beach and a chippie meal before heading back to Sheffield.

Scouts need to sign up for this now (Beavers and Cubs see your leaders) online here. The Cost for Scouts will be between £15 and £18 including travel, chippie dinner and a round of golf! Money needs to be in by Tuesday 4th May.

Scouts Athletics Badge

This years event was held at the English Institute of Sport and was a chance for all the scouts to get their Athletics Badge. Scouts could do events from the 50m right up to the 1500m along with Long Jump, High Jump and Cricket Ball Throw.

All the scouts who took part managed to get their badge with some great performances including some great high jumps from Connor and a fantastic 1500m from Ben.
