Stocksbridge Scouts are based in Stocksbridge (no big surprise there then!). Stocksbridge is about 10 miles north west of Sheffield. Our group are known locally as the Firsts.
We are part of the Sheffield Don District and are known also as the 32nd Sheffield.
Scouts was started in 1907 after a successful experimental camp held at Brownsea Island by Lord Baden-Powell. 2007 is the 100th Anniversary of the movement. It is still the largest uniformed Youth Organization in the World.
